# The Dashboard: a rearrangeable home screen, not a fixed report

Four KPI tiles you can click through to the page behind each number, then a free-form canvas of widgets you drag into whatever layout you want. Personal edition or above.

## Steps

1. Open the Dashboard from the sidebar.
2. The top row is fixed: Notes, Actions today, Open tasks and Income. Each is a real read from your vault and your logs, and each is clickable through to the page it summarises.
3. Everything below it is a free-form canvas. Drag widgets into the layout you want; the arrangement is a local preference and is not sent anywhere.
4. Add or remove widgets from the catalogue: connector tiles, an activity chart, agents, recent activity, individual Command Center panels, vault folders, and more.

## How to tell it worked

A widget you add or move stays where you left it the next time you open the Dashboard.

## If it does not work

**A row under Needs attention does nothing when you click it.**

Deliberate for now: those rows have no destination wired up yet, so nothing hints that they are clickable rather than pretending one exists.

**A number looks like it should have updated already and has not.**

The Dashboard polls every five seconds rather than reading live on every render, so a very recent change can lag by a few seconds.

**The Dashboard is not there at all.**

It needs Personal or above, the same tier as Connectors and the agent fleet.
