# Keyboard shortcuts, and why you cannot change them

The shortcuts are listed under Connections. They work inside the app only, and they are fixed in this build.

## Steps

1. Open Settings, then Connections, then Hotkeys.
2. The card lists every shortcut with the keys beside it. That list is the reference: it is generated from the shortcuts the app actually has.

## How to tell it worked

The shortcut you wanted is in the list, with its key combination beside it.

## If it does not work

**You want to change or rebind one.**

You cannot in this build. The card says so in as many words: they are fixed for now. There is no settings file that overrides them either.

**A shortcut does nothing when the app is not focused.**

That is expected. These work inside the app only, so they are not global shortcuts and will not fire from another window.
