# You paid, but the app still says Free

The app checks your plan on a schedule rather than the instant a payment clears, so force the check instead of waiting for it.

## Steps

1. Open Settings, then General, then Licence, and use the renewal control. That forces the check rather than waiting for the next scheduled one.
2. If it still reports Free, sign out and back in. Signing in forces the same check.
3. Open your account on the website and confirm the subscription is actually shown as active there.

## How to tell it worked

The Plan and sign-in screen names your paid edition, and the capability list grows to match it.

## If it does not work

**The website shows the subscription but the app does not.**

That is worth telling us about, and it is the one case where the detail matters: say what the account page shows and what the app shows. Those two disagreeing is a fault on our side, not something you did wrong.

**You paid with a different email than you signed in with.**

The edition follows the account that made the purchase. Sign in with that email.

## Still stuck

Bug reports belong in the app, in Settings, About. Those carry no contact details, so they
get fixed rather than answered. To get a reply, email us instead: that route targets two
business days. https://perpetualtechnologies.co.uk/contact
