# Renew now: make the app pick up a plan change

In NeuralVault 2.0 the app renews your plan in the background; "Renew now" on Plan and sign-in forces the check and says what happened.

## Steps

1. Make sure you are signed in. The renewal rows only appear for a signed-in install.
2. Open Settings, then Account, then Plan and sign-in, and find the "Automatic renewal" rows.
3. Press "Renew now".
4. Read the answer under the button. "Renewed. Your edition is up to date and applies immediately." means it worked.
5. Check the "Edition" row at the top of the same screen and the "Plan runs until" row.

## How to tell it worked

The answer reads "Renewed. Your edition is up to date and applies immediately." and the Edition row shows the plan you expect.

## If it does not work

**The answer is "Nothing to do: this was renewed recently."**

The install is already current. If the edition is still not the one you expect, the account itself does not show that plan: check Billing in Settings and the account page on the website.

**The answer is "Sign in first. Renewal needs an account session."**

Sign in, then press Renew now again.

**The answer says your account refused the renewal.**

Your current edition keeps working until it expires. Check the "Last attempt" row for the reason and check the account and billing pages.

**The answer says it could not reach your account.**

The app retries on its own and your current edition keeps working. Check your connection and try again later.
