What an NV code means, and how to copy the details
In the Beta build, a failure shows a code like NV-ROUTE-002 with a plain sentence and a "Copy error details" button; the code always means one thing, so quote it when you write to us.

Steps
- Find the code. It looks like NV-AREA-NNN, for example NV-ROUTE-002. It is shown in a small box next to the message.
- Read the sentence beside it. It says what happened and what to do next.
- Press "Copy error details". It copies the code and everything a support message needs. If the clipboard is blocked it says "The clipboard could not be reached, so nothing was copied."
- Paste it into your message to us, or into a bug report.
- Know the areas. ROUTE is choosing a model and the call to it. AUTH is signing in. LIC is plan and edition checks. TOOL is a tool an agent ran. AGENT is an agent run. VAULT is reading or writing the vault. INDEX is search. BACKUP is backups. NET is reaching the network. UPD is the updater. UI is the app’s own screens.
- Know the catch-all. A number ending in 999 means NeuralVault saw a failure in that area that it has no plainer description for yet. The exact text is kept under Details.
How to tell it worked
You have the code and the copied details ready to paste.
If it does not work
- There is a message but no code.
- Not every message has one. Copy the words as they are and include them in your report.
- You want the meaning of a code.
- See the guides for the area: sign-in messages, update codes, network messages, chat error codes, and notes that will not save.
- A code is not in any guide.
- Send it to us with its details. A code is never reused, so it points to exactly one problem.
