Give the assistant a folder to work in
In NeuralVault 2.0 you attach folders the assistant may read and change; it asks before each change and cannot reach anything outside them.

Steps
- Open Settings, then Workspace, then Working folder, and press "Choose working folder" (it reads "Add another folder" once one exists). You can also use the folder chip on the chat screen, which shows the folder name or "No folder".
- From the chip’s menu, press "Attach a folder". The menu explains that these are folders the assistant can read and change in every chat turn, and that nothing outside them is reachable.
- Each attached folder shows its path, whether it is a git repository and its branch, and any instruction files it carries. Those instructions guide the assistant’s coding and never override your request or the approval prompts.
- To stop using a folder, press "Detach" on its row. Nothing on disk changes.
How to tell it worked
The folder appears in the list under "Attached folders" with its path, and Settings no longer says "No working folder is chosen".
If it does not work
- The row says "Folder not found. It may have moved or been deleted."
- The path is missing. Detach it and attach the folder again from its new place.
- The menu says the limit is 8 folders.
- Detach one before attaching another.
- With no working folder, the assistant prints code instead of saving files.
- That is expected. The Settings screen says that with no working folder chosen, chats print code instead of saving files. Attach a folder.
- A chat says it approves edits or runs commands without asking.
- You chose "do not ask again" on an approval card. The Workspace menu lists what is remembered and an "Ask again" button turns it back on.
