Windows says "Windows protected your PC"

The installer is signed by Perpetual Technologies AI Ltd; SmartScreen can still warn about a new release because it also weighs how many people have run that exact version.

Steps

  1. On the blue panel, press "More info". The panel then shows the publisher and a "Run anyway" button.
  2. Check the publisher. It should read Perpetual Technologies AI Ltd, not "Unknown Publisher".
  3. To check the file yourself first, right-click the installer, choose Properties, open the Digital Signatures tab and confirm the signer is Perpetual Technologies AI Ltd.
  4. If the signer is right, press "Run anyway" and continue with the installer.

How to tell it worked

The Digital Signatures tab lists Perpetual Technologies AI Ltd as the signer, and the installer starts.

If it does not work

The publisher shows as "Unknown Publisher".
Do not run it. It is not the signed installer.
The warning appears every time you run a new release.
SmartScreen builds reputation over download volume, so a warning can persist for a while on a new certificate or a fresh release. It is not a virus verdict.
There is no Digital Signatures tab on the file.
The file is not signed, so it is not an official installer. Do not run it.
