Managed usage: your balance, top-ups and spend limits
In NeuralVault 2.0, Settings, Intelligence, Managed usage is a separate wallet for AI that NeuralVault pays for on your behalf; it needs a signed-in account and is not part of the subscription on the Billing screen.

Steps
- Sign in, then open Settings, then Intelligence, then Managed usage. If you are not signed in the screen says "No managed usage account".
- Read "Your balance" and press "Refresh balance" to read it again. A signed-in account with nothing on it shows "No usage balance on this account", which is not a failed read.
- To add to it, use "Buy more". Checkout opens in your browser. The screen says prices exclude VAT and that a top-up also adds a service fee, and both appear on Stripe’s own page. "Or choose your own amount" takes a plain number, such as 25 or 25.50, within the range the screen shows.
- Under "Spend limits", set a "Daily limit" and a "Monthly limit", or tick "No limit" for either, and press "Save limits". The screen shows how much has been spent today and this month.
- The Account row menu also has a "Usage this month" line showing a percentage, or "Not on a plan".
How to tell it worked
The balance refreshes to the expected figure after checkout completes, and "Saved." appears after you save limits.
If it does not work
- The Managed usage screen says it needs a signed-in Personal account.
- The screen states that Managed usage needs a signed-in Personal account. On Free you can still use a local model or your own API key.
- The "Use your NeuralVault balance" route is missing from the chat setup screen.
- It only appears where the plan includes NeuralVault model routing. Free does not include it.
- You paid, but the balance did not change.
- Press Refresh balance. If it still has not changed, tell us what Stripe shows and what the screen shows.
