Install, switch off and remove a plugin
In NeuralVault 2.0, Settings, Agents and tools, Plugins installs a plugin from a folder, shows what it asks for, and lets you switch it off, remove it or revoke its grant; running plugins needs the Personal edition.

Steps
- Open Settings, then Agents and tools, then Plugins.
- Press "Install from a folder…" and choose the plugin’s folder. The app reads the plugin’s own manifest and shows its name, version and publisher and what it asks for.
- If it asks for vault access, read the warning. A plugin is a separate process with its own network connection, so only install it if you would give those files to its author. Press "Install" followed by its name to go ahead, or "Cancel".
- The "Installed plugins" table lists every plugin declared in ~/.neuralvault/plugins.yaml, with its publisher and the capabilities it declared. Use "Switch on" and "Switch off" to control one.
- To remove one, press "Remove" then "Delete" followed by its name, or "Keep" to back out. To take away a live grant, press "Revoke" on its row in the list of plugins holding a grant. A revoke takes effect on the plugin’s very next request.
How to tell it worked
The plugin appears in the Installed plugins table, and after switching it on it appears under the plugins holding a grant.
If it does not work
- The screen says plugins need the Personal edition.
- It states that this edition never starts the plugin host, so nothing declared is granted anything. Installing also needs the Personal edition.
- The list says "No plugins connected".
- Nothing holds a grant on this machine. A plugin declared in plugins.yaml appears the next time NeuralVault starts.
- A plugin warning says it asks for vault access but is not in the granted list.
- What a plugin asked for is not always what it was granted. Check the table of plugins holding a grant to see whether the request was approved.
